Western Gailes is situated first left on Marine Drive. FROM THE NORTH follow M77/A77 to Kilmarnock Bellfield Interchange. Take A71 for Irvine then directions are as above.

Komentář EGD :	Although it s not a British Open course, Western Gailes is regarded as one of Scotland's very best and is used often as an Open qualifying site. To preserve their seaside course, members have fought a long series of architectural battles to save the course from ever-threatening tides. Western Gailes is generally accepted as being a difficult course and a great test of ones patience, perseverance, and concentration. It is a natural links course that offers undulating fairways, occasionally interupted by three meandering burns. Greens are cleverly located in naturally folded ground, some protected by burns whilst others guarded by sand dunes. The course is highly rated and is 38th in the Top 100 courses of the British Isles.
